Please handle refill requests at the beginning of your appointment to allow for discussion of any changes which may be indicated.   Given increasing problems with automated faxes from pharmacies, we do not process refill requests unless initiated directly from patients. Administrative charges may be applied for refill requests occurring outside of your scheduled appointment time.   As part of quality control, my office may use resources including the North Carolina Controlled Substance Reporting Database to monitor use of scheduled prescriptions.

Please provide information needed to process your request including name and date of birth, name, and dosage of the medication and your pharmacy phone number.  If you are having a family member pick up stimulant prescriptions at the office please indicate that persons name in your request.

Allow 3 business days for processing of these requests. Specify if your request is urgent (1-2 business days) or a same day request. Written prescriptions (usually for controlled substances) will be available for pick-up in the waiting room of suite 200 within 3 business days.

Prescriptions for Stimulant medications used often to treat ADHD are controlled substances and cannot be called into your pharmacy.  A written prescription is required and refills are not permitted by law.  We will leave these prescriptions in our pick up bin located in our waiting room.  They will be enclosed in an envelope with your first name and last initial.  If you have someone else coming by to pick up the medication please indicate that persons name on the request where indicated.
