Specialties and Areas of Interest
I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, insight-oriented psychotherapy and medication management for most psychiatric conditions. I regularly treat patients dealing with Bipolar and Depressive mood disorders; Panic, Social, Traumatic and Generalized anxiety conditions; Cognitive and Attentional Disorders (ADHD); Personality Disorders, and Substance Use/Compulsive/Eating Disorders. I see patients across the developmental spectrum starting with late adolescence. I have particular experience with young adult and student populations.
Medication Management Services
Medication Management appointments are typically 25-30 minutes in length and are focused on your symptoms and response to medication. A list of target symptoms is generated that we will track over the course of your treatment.
Psychotherapy Services
Psychotherapy appointments are 45 minutes in length and typically occur weekly or bimonthly. My therapeutic orientation is psychodynamic and insight-oriented. Treatment goals generally involve catalyzing growth and positive change in many areas of functioning and psychological well-being. Additional approaches may include cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation training and supportive/coaching approaches with adolescents and younger adults.
